Centenary Camp, Nigerian Girl Guides Association, Lagos (2019)

Member, Programmes Sub-Committee: Drafted key events at the week-long international centenary camp of the association; hosted a panel discussion on Young People as Advocates for Social Change and facilitated a session on Governance.
Member, Publicity Sub-Committee: Introduced social media branding to the association; served as an intermediary between the Publicity team and the organization’s Public Relations/Social Media Agency.

12th Africa Regional Conference, WAGGGS, Rwanda (2019)

Co-facilitated all sessions on ‘Motion 32’ and gathered data through interviews, focus group discussions and a panel discussion. Co-facilitated a forum session on Free Being Me (a body confidence and self-esteem project). Attended the conference as a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) Global Team.

1st Lassa Fever International Conference, Abuja, Nigeria (2019)

Attended the conference as a representative of Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust. Attended parallel events focused on one health and infection prevention and control.

Remote Delegate for WAGGGS at the 62nd Session of the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women (2018)

Co-created WAGGGS key messages at CSW62. Formed coalitions with civil society organizations in Nigeria. Wrote a blogpost on my experience working on a WAGGGS project (Free Being Me).

36th World Conference, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, India (2017)

Represented Nigerian Girl Guides Association (NGGA) as a Youth delegate. Co-facilitated a side event with a Maltese girl guide and presented a report on Nigerian Girl Guides Association’s progress on Voices against Violence project.

United Nations Alliance of Civilization Workshop, Abuja (2016)

Selected as 1 of the 20 Young Peacebuilders in West Africa trained by UNAOC on peace, conflict analysis, management and resolution. Introduced Peacebuilding and Conflict Management as a topic in the national training curriculum of NGGA due to my participation at this workshop.
